What we collect

We only collect personal data you give us directly, such as when you email us or book a call. This typically includes:

We do not currently use website analytics or tracking cookies. If that changes, this policy will be updated to say what's collected and why, and a cookie notice will be added.

How we use it

We use your information only to:

Respond to your enquiry and arrange calls or sessions
Deliver any services you engage us for
Meet our own legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing unless you separately opt in.

Legal basis

We process your data on the basis of legitimate interest (responding to enquiries you've initiated) or, where we deliver services to you, performance of a contract.

Who we share it with

We don't sell or rent personal data. It may be seen by:

Our email provider, to send and receive correspondence
Our website host, as part of normal hosting
Associates delivering technical work on an engagement, where relevant to that engagement
Our accountant, where required for bookkeeping

We don't currently transfer personal data outside the UK. If that changes, this section will be updated to explain the safeguards in place.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and client data only as long as needed to respond to you, deliver any agreed services, and meet legal or accounting retention requirements (typically up to 6 years for financial records).

Your rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to request a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these, email hello@upshot-consulting.com.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
